悉尼能源的太阳能发电系统是全悉尼最经济的光能系统

现在澳大利亚联邦政府的‘澳大利亚温室效应办公处’正在鼓励老百姓用光能系统发电。为了促进太阳能，政府现在的政策是给澳洲的住户$8000的回扣。（0-1000瓦的系统，$8/瓦，超过1000瓦只给$8000;只给owner-occupier [业主居住者 / 住在自家私房的人]; 数量、时间有限）

回扣通过批准的话,那么990Wp系统的实价为 $2990 ！（澳洲或德国的逆变器，中国的太阳能电池板）. 要是想使用高级澳大利亚制造的BP (英石）电池板，那么价格为$3980。BP的保修期为25年，中国电池板的保修期为20年。

在悉尼，1000瓦的系统会天天生产4-5度（5kWh)电 （平均生产量），等于是$240/年 （简单经济回收期为十二年左右）。不过，现在来自烧煤热电厂的电价不会一直这么便宜；电费涨价那您就更省了！一个太阳能发电系统对房地产市场来说很有吸引力，所以加上一个发电系统也许会提高您房子的价值。
