The 'adopt-a-product' program. To be a reliable and convenient source of a wide range of environmental products, there will inevitably be a need for inventory to be kept. The Cooperative has developed a novel approach to overcome this barrier through the participation of its members. Members can 'adopt' an environmental product and helping to make it available to other members and the public at a low price by taking responsibility for any or all of the following steps in the lifecycle of adding a product to the list:

* Researching, testing and suggesting an appropriate product, including finding suppliers and quotes for bulk orders of the product.
* Providing the finance for the Cooperative to purchase the product or by making a purchase by themselves.
* Warehousing, taking orders and organising delivery or pick up of goods.

To participate in the program, members can select any of the above steps. For example, members who take on Step 1 will create opportunities for other members to take on Step 2. Generally, the Cooperative is able to carry out Step 3 from its office and warehouse in Waterloo.

Currently, the following products are up for adoption:

- 'Dimmerable' compact fluorescent lights. Suitable for use in existing dimming circuits
- Power boards with 1 switch or 4 switches or foot-operated switches
- USB activated power boards
- Various Bicycle Accessories
- New Electric Bicycle prototypes
- And more...
